Day 1:Cusco-Mollepata-Salkantaypampa 6 h Walk

Pick up at your hotel around 5AM and drive to Soraypampa (4 H) When more than 5 persons it’s a private bus, less than 5 persons local bus.Breakfast in Mollepata in a local restaurant. We continue by bus to Soraypampa from where we start our trek to the lake” Tucarway “ a walk of 1,5 h. From here we have beautiful views of the lake and the glacier. Than we return to Soraypampa to take our lunch. After lunch we continue 2 h climbing to our first camp Salkantaypampa, where we have diner and first night at 4100 Mt.

Day 2: Salkantaypampa - Huayraqmachay –Chaullay- colpachaca 9 h walk

Breakfast around 5.30 AM. We start our trek at 6 AM. Physically a tough day, we start for the strong climb to the pass 2 h climbing/walking up to 4700 Mt altitude .Here we have stunning views over the Salkantay mountain range. After the top it’s 4 h going down where we lunch in Andenes 3300 Mt, along the way we have stunning views of snowy mountains. After lunch we continue 2,5 H to Colpachaca 2800Mt. Near the hot springs we will camp and enjoy a beautiful natural hot spring ( 5 sol entree fee ) /campsite Dinner and camp .

Day 3: Colpachaca –-Playa-hydro elecrtrico- aqua cal 6 h walk

Wake up and breakfast at 6.30 AM. Today most of the time walking down ,you see the different vegetation from forest to coca fields, 5 h walking down. Lunch in Playa. From here we take transport to hydro electric for 1 H 15 minutes. From where we take the train to Aquas calientes at 4.30 PM, its a 1 h ride. In Aquas cal we overnight in a hostal with private bathroom. Dinner in a restaurant in Aguas Calientes.

Day 4 : Machu Picchu - Cusco

Breakfast, very early around 5 AM in the morning. We take the first bus to Machu Picchu around 5.45 AM. We enter Machu Picchu and have a guided tour of the complex for around 2,5 hours. After this you have some free time to wander around yourself. Walk to Inti Punko, the “SUN GATE” or to the mountain behind Machu Picchu “Waynapicchu “, in 45 min ,from here you have stunning views over the whole complex, but be careful there is a new rule that only 400 people a day are allowed and the gate close at 12 PM! After your free time you can walk down or drive down by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, for a late lunch (not included). In the afternoon we take the train back to Cusco or Ollantaytambo, transfer and
arrive late in cusco !
