Day 1:
Arrive at Lima airport, someone from Peru planet pick you up from the airport and bring you to your first hotel in Lima or Miraflores.
Day 2 :
First day free in Lima to visit Museo National de Arqueologia, in pueblo libre, the best museum in Peru, also the old centre is worth a visit, in the afternoon you can visit Colonial Barranco and walk at the seafront in Miraflores. Optional city tour ½ day or Full day with English speaking guide |
Day 3:
Transfer to the airport, flight to Chiclao , transfer to your hotel in Chiclao .In
the afternoon you can visit Chiclao and the busy market , there’s also the
witches market, hotel in Chiclao
Day 4:
Today you do the excursion to Lambayeque , here is the most important and beautiful museum of Peru , from“The Lord of Sipan “, also the “Bruning museum” is very important , be careful , don’t visit on a Monday while its closed this day .After thatyou visit the 35 km further away Tucume pyramides Hotel in Chiclao. |
Day 5:
Today you visit the tombs of the lord of sipan in Sipan ,After this visit You can go to the
beautiful Sican Museum in Ferrenafe .In the afternoon you will take the night bus to Chachapoyas , it takes about 11 h .
Day 6 : You arrive early in Chachapoyas and go to your nice hotel , today you can relax in this border jungle town and walk around to surrounded viewpoints , hotel Chachapoyas . |
Day 7 + Day 8:
Today you go to the most important pre inca walled city/fortress “KUELAP” ,at 3000 M discovered in 1843 ,it dates from 900 to 1100 and contained three times more stones than the great pyramid in Egypt . After visiting Kuelap you continue to the small village of Leymebamba ,it’s a ruff unpaved road , but with beautiful scenery . back to Chachapoyas . Hostal in Chachapoyas
Optional you can sleep in Hostel in Leymebamba,Leymebamba is famous for its new museum (2001), with more than 5000 artefacts, like ceramics and mummies discovered in 1996 at Laguna de los condores , After a visit to this museum you return back to Chachapoyas , hotel in Chachapoyas .
From Leymebamba you can optional continue to Cajamarca ,and further to Trujillo . |
Day 9:
Today you will visit the Pueblo de los muertos , we pass by the small village of Lamud and visit Karajia with his famous guards in front of the tombs , on the way we have beautiful scenery , in the afternoon you take the night bus back to Chiclao .
Day 10: You arrive very early in Chiclao and can wait some time in the bus terminal, later on you take a taxi to the bus station to Trujillo , from here you will take the bus on the Pan-American highway to Trujillo for about 4 h , from there you take a taxi to Huanchaco , this is a relax beach town , free time to wonder around, walk on the beach. Day 11:
This morning you will visit the biggest adobe city in the world “CHAN CHAN “, the capital of the Chimú empire. It is a huge urban complex made of a kind of mud called adobe, It is located in Trujillo (north of Peru) and was built by the 13th century, after this you can continue to the ruins of“ARCO IRIS”, and the pyramid of “HUACA DE LA LUNA ET SOL” , here they still do every day new discoveries/hotel Huanchaco .
Day 12:
Today you take in the afternoon the nightbus for around 8 h to Huaraz , the cordillera blanca ! You climb up a winding road to 3090 mt altitude

Day 13
Transfer to your hostal or hotel.Today you can discover this scenic city In the morning you can visit the busy market ,in the afternoon you take local transport ,up to the ruins of willkawain from the Huari empire ,from here we have a beautiful view over Huaraz ,than you can walk down , about 2 ½ h to Monterrey from where you take a local bus back to Huaraz .
Day 14:
Today you go to Laguna de llanganuco ,you drive thru the beautiful valley and pass by Yungay ,the village who was completed destroyed by a massive earthquake and mudslide in 1970 , 20.000 people lost their lives. Or you can go to the glacier of Pastoruri. Hotel in Huaraz .

Day 15 :
This day you can go to the Fortress temple of Chavin de Huantar ,this is the oldest and one of the most import cultures of Peru from 800 BC , the tour takes a whole day ,people who do the Chavin de Huantar trekking finish after 3 days trekking in Chavin . Arrive in the afternoon in the hotel in Huaraz.
Persons who like to have some activity , can do the excursion 3 days 2 nights trekking from olleros to Chavin de huantar , this is a beautiful trek , amazing snow caped mountains , not many tourist, you real feel the pure nature. But this is a hard trek !! The first day you sleep in tents around 4000 Mt altitude and the second day you cross the pass of punta yanashallash,4700 Mt ,the third day you go down to chavin. Here you visit the ruins .This trek you do with guide, cook , tents , and mules or lamas who carry al the gear .You just walk with your daypack.

Day 16:
Today you take the bus for 7 to 8 h to Lima , transfer to your hotel in Lima /Miraflores , enjoy and relax on the seafront of the shopping center of Largo Mar |

Remember that the most other travel agencies offer the tours without excursions, there you have to pay extra for the excursions, and with Peru planet the most of the excursions written in the program are included!!!

Insurgency
Its obligated to have your own travel insurgency!
Cancellation
Cancellations till 56 days before departure cost 15% of the total amount. Cancellation between 56 and 42 days before departure cost 30% of the total amount , from 42 to 28 days before departure 50%, from 28 to 14 days before departure 75% and from 14 to 7 days before departure 90%. If you cancel 7 days or less before departure, you have to pay the total amount .Its better to take an insurgency for cancellation as well!.
