Cusco lays claim to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the Americas.
It was the religious and administrative capital of the far-flung Inca Empire, and the equivalent of Mecca for the Inca's subjects; every person of importance throughout the empire tried to visit Cusco once in his lifetime. Most travellers usually end up seduced with this vibrant city and stay longer than first planned. The first thing that hits the newly arrived visitor to Cusco are the Inca walls, normous granite blocks carved to fit together perfectly without the aid of mortar beds. Many of the walls were simply built upon during the construction of a new Spanish city. It’s a tribute to the Incas that their anti seismic design has survived the test of time while the Spanish colonial architecture has been rebuilt several times following a wave of earthquakes that have hit the city.
Located at an altitude of 3.360m above sea level, Cusco was referred as the 'Navel of the World'. This is an ideal opportunity to see the highlights Cusco has to offer, such as a tour of the city the nearby Inca Ruins of Sacsayhuaman, Qenko, Pucapucara and Tambomachay,visit these places also by horse ! Of course there’s a day trip out to the Sacred Valley of the Incas,including a visit to the traditional Indian market at Pisac and the beautiful village of Ollantaytambo and Chinchero.

Day 1 : arrive in cusco
Arrive in Cusco, transfer from bus station or airport to your hotel.
In the early afternoon you will be taken on a Cusco tour Start daily from 14 H till 18 H, it takes 4 hours including transport and an English speaking guide
of the city and will visit some of the many amazing archaeological sites and wonders in and around the city. You will see the Cathedral (which is located on the Plaza de Armas- or main square), Sacsayhuaman, Q'enko, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. Remember to bring your camera
You will return to your hotel in the late afternoon to relax before dinner. Before setting out to eat in one of the many restaurants in Cusco.there are many markets and high end stores selling alpaca sweaters. Spend the evening enjoying the local cuisine and hospitality of the Cusco locals.

Day 2 : Sacred valley tour
After an early breakfast, you will embark on a journey into the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas. As you wind through the Andean mountain tops, you will see echoes of the traditional lifestyles that have existed here for more than 500 years. Many people proudly wear traditional clothing.The drive from Cusco is not very long and on the way you will see some typical Andean villages and scenery.
Next you will visit the impressive ruins of Ollantaytambo. These magnificent ancient ruins look out as outposts over the valley and if you are up for the climb, offer an incredible view. Originally the royal estate of Emperor Pachacuti during the Inca Empire.For lunch you will have the chance to try traditional Andean foods.
This tour takes a whole day, from 9 AM till and leave every day.The tour includes the transport and English speaking guide and entrée fees
You stay overnight in ollantaytambo or close to this village to relax end enjoy this beautiful place.Like this you dont have to wake up so early next day while you gone take the train from Ollantaytambo direct to Machu Picchu next day.

Day 3: Machu Picchu tour
After breakfast you can walk to the railwaystation or there is transfer to the train station Ollantaytambo,to take the train to Machu Picchu and the village of Aguas Calientes. Here a bus awaits you, to take you in 20 minutes to the actual site of the “Lost City of the Incas.”
Your bilingual guide will take you throughout the vast ruins. Machu Picchu is the best known of the Inca ruins, as it is recognized worldwide, yet it is not mentioned in any of the writings of the Spanish Conquistadors. It is believed to have been constructed around the mid-15th century and was “rediscovered” by American historian Hiram Bingham in 1911. The guided tour of this fascinating place is an awe-inspiring experience. Visit the Main Square, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Circular Towers, the Sacred Sun Dial and Burial Grounds. After the explanation (about 2 hour ) you still have some free time to wonder around by your self . You can walk to Inti Punko, the “SUN GATE” or to the mountain behind Machu Picchu “ Huayna Picchu “, in a 45 min climb. Be careful this have also new rules ,only 300 tourist a day can climb this ,its not possible to reserve ,and the gate close at 12 AM .From here you have stunning views over the whole complex !
In the afternoon you take the bus back down to Aqua Calientes to take the train back direction Cusco or ollantaytambo, from where we transfer you back to your hotel after a fantastic day.

Day 4 : Transfer out
After your breakfast at your hotel, we do the transfer to the bus station or airport to continue your travel out of Cusco.
You are also welcome to continue even further into the “Heart of the Inca” by taking the train, bus or plane to Puno to visit the majestic Lake Titicaca
