The Eco-Lodge San Miguel del Bala - Community Ecotourism was built at the initiative of the Tacana community of San Miguel for lovers of nature, adventure and indigenous culture.The tourism operation will help to conserve and maintain the culture Tacana.
It lies within the catchment area of the Madidi National Park in Bolivia.

Improve the living conditions of the community members of San Miguel Tacana, ensuring its future generations for the preservation of the environment (mainly the high biodiversity of the area) along with sustainable development both economically and socially.
The Eco Lodge
The Eco-Lodge offers visitors a rustic retreat with all amenities.En su construcción se utilizaron materiales del bosque y su diseño respeta la arquitectura tradicional del lugar y el medio ambiente.In its construction materials were used in the forest and its design respects the traditional local architecture and environment.

3 days program Day 1
Forest nature and indigenous culture
Collection in Rurrenabaque (minibus from the airport or from the hotel by foot) into the in the port of Rurrenabaque.Transport by boat during 40 minutes on the Beni River in the jungle to Eco-Lodge San Miguel del Bala and cottage accommodation in typical style,nwith private bathroom and shower.With local guide you can walk through the rainforest to learn about ancient hunting techniques of Tacana, the guide explains how he hunted for meat before and jaguar skins for example, pigs, monkeys, birds and tapirs.lunch is prepared with local ingredients by following a typical recipe.
After a snall sleep, the afternoon program begins with a short walk to the community of San Miguel.Here the guide explains about the daily life, crops, building techniques, religion, crafts, traditions and customs.
The greatest experience is to prepare the cane juice in the mill (grinding manual) We return to the Eco-Lodge on foot,or you can go by boat.Back "home" a delicious dinner waiting /more than enough.The guides tell tales of the community

Day 2
The day begins with breakfast in the dining room surrounded by jungle and overlooking the Rio Beni. Than we go by boat little more up the river to our next destination where the adventurous hike begins by following the stream through the rainforest.
The guide explains about the flora and fauna . After exactly 1000 meters and several stops we arrive to a natural pool of clear water from the beautiful waterfall. Here there is time for a swim/ than we return to the lodge for lunch and rest in the hammocks. After the rest the hike is along a path through the area with many medicinal plants' pharmacy of San Miguel.The guide shares his knowledge of medicinal plants and how they can cure almost any disease with natural medicine in a good relationship with Pacha Mama - Mother Earth.
After Diner we have a nightwalk to see the night anymals
Day 3
After Sun rize and having breakfast we leave up the rivers Beni and Tuichi passing the famous mountains to Bala Caquihuara within Madidi National Park.During the trip there are good opportunities to see alligators, capybaras, monkeys and other mammal’s drinking water from river or swinging from the branches of trees. We observe the red and blue macaws endangered that only live in this special wall of mud that is not found in many other places in the world.With an eye toward the macaws on our heads and in their caves served tapeque style lunch (picnic).
You can take a swim or throw the hook waiting for a fish in the river.The return to the Eco-Lodge San Miguel del Bala is on the same rivers.
Full of beautiful memories we return to Rurrenabaque, the tour ends at sunset
