inca trail & Potolo 1 day from Sucre

We pick you up with our car from Café “Florín” or your hotel at 08:30. One hour approx. driving through forest and little villages (30 km). From the chapel of Chataquila at 3.665m on the rim of the “Cordillera de los Frailes” you walk down the Inca Trail from where you can see the Maragua Crater -Great Views!!!- until you reach Chaunaca. From this town we will take you to Potolo (14 km) where you will visit the local school, the weavers and the main plaza where a lot of children and sellers in their typical clothes might come to see you. You can take pictures inside the villagers’ houses and there is also the option of trying the local dish of Potolo in one of the houses of a local family.

You need to bring:

Daypack with extra food, good walking shoes, hat, sun cream, camera, candies or gifts for the local kids and personal necessities.

We try to not bring too much things like soft drinks and snacks/chocolates from the city and instead we like everybody to spend in the little villages, so tourism will make sense to the local people…..

Of course we`ll bring the main food from the city.
