Tarabuco Sunday Market from Sucre

The Tarabuco culture is one of the oldest indigenous cultures of South America which has preserved its values and customs. Situated about seventy kilometres from Sucre amongst rolling hills, Tarabuco has colorful markets selling beautiful handicrafts and weavings with geometric designs.
The market is the meeting point for the Yamparas Indians who come here to sell their products. Walk around and meet the friendly locals dressed in elaborately woven ponchos and decorative 'monteras' (leather hats shaped after Spanish Conquistador helmets).
