Cusco-Santa teresa-Salkantay- Aqua calientes -Machu Picchu -Cusco

This trek is harder than the Inca trail, you cross a pass of 4600 Mt

Pick up at your hotel around 5AM and drive to Mollepata. more than 5 persons private bus, less than 5 persons local bus, about 3h drive Breakfast in Mollepata in a local restaurant .

There at 2800 Mt we start walking up, to Cruz pata, about 3 h a little up, here we take our lunch,after lunch we continue for about 4h steep up to Soraypampa community, were we make our first campsite/dinner at 3600 mt

Breakfast around 6.30 AM ,at 7.30 h .Physically a tough day, we start for the strong climb to the pass 4 h climbing/walking up to 4600 Mt altitude .Here we have stunning views over the Salkantay mountain range .We lunch in Huayracpampa ,around 3600 Mt After lunch we continue to Challway 2900 Mt or Colpabamba ,depending on the condition of the group  about 4h to the campsite Dinner and camp .

Wake up and breakfast at 6 AM. Today an "easy" walk ,most of the time walking down ,you see the different vegetation from forest to coca fields ,6 h walking down Lunch in Playa  . From here we take an open truck or bus for 45 min to Santa Teresa, where we take dinner and we have our campsite, there it is also possible to go to a nice hot spring .

Breakfast 7 AM ,relax day, around 1 h walk to the cable La Oroya or the bridge.From here we walk an other 2 h to the Hydro electric where we lunch .Than you have the choice in walking for about 3 h to Aguas Calientes or taking the train. You arrive around 17 h in Aqua Calientes, here we overnight in a hostal with private bathroom .Dinner in Aguas Calientes

Breakfast, very early around 5 AM in the morning. We take the first bus to Machu Picchu around 5.45 AM . We enter Machu Picchu and have a guided tour of the complex for around 2,5 hours. After this you have some free time to wander around yourself. Walk to Inti Punko, the “SUN GATE” or to the mountain behind Machu Picchu “Waynapicchu “, in 45 min ,from here you have stunning views over the whole complex, but be careful there is a new rule that only 300 people a day are allowed and the gate close at 12 PM !After your free time you can walk down or drive down by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes, for a late lunch (not included). In the afternoon we take the train back to Cusco or Ollantaytambo; transfer and

• Train ticket back to Cusco or Ollantaytambo (if in high season there is no space on the train ,we bring you back to cusco in bus from hydro electrico)

• Equipment: tents ( 2 people in each 3-person-capacity ), mattress, dinner tent, kitchen tent, tables and chairs, table settings, first aid kit, including emergency oxygen bottle

• Extra nights,( optional not included ) at ending point Aqua calientes, so you can stay some longer at Machu Picchu ,you need to tell us some days  in advance so we buy your return ticket 1 day  later !!
