Before the entree to wayna picchu, the mountain behind machu picchu was limited to 400 persons a day with 2 times entree to the mountain of wayna picchu
group 1 are 200 persons from 7 to 8 am
group 2 are 200 persons from 10 to 11 am
from 15 july 2011 there is a new rule ,,,, you only can enter wayna picchu if you reserve in advance together with your entree ticket of Machu picchu and the extra cost is 12 usd a person
Also other new rule is that there is a limit of 2500 persons a day at Machu Picchu and that you have tu buy your entrance ticket far in advance, now already 4 days before entering the permits are finished
its NOT possible to buy this permit at the entree of machu picchu
for the moment its not possible to do for the persons on the incatrail ( this can change )
But possible for people who do the alternative trekkings and the ones who do the visit only at machu picchu
So verry important is that if you like to climb wayna picchu, you have to indicate in your reservation , we never can guaranty, all depend iff there are stil permits left !
